It’s a family affair on Saturday when the Monks face the Warriors

The second week of the Kenya Championship pitches the Catholic Monks and Ngong Warriors. This is seen by many as a family affair.

A number of Ngong Warriors have played for the Monks. Three of the players; Reuben Simba, Elly Ojwang and William Odhiambo were the core part of the team which took the Monks to the Kenya Cup.

The three, Kissinger and Duqe Monda have a very cordial relationship with the Monks. Other players have also a brotherly relation with most  Monks players.

Both teams lost their opening matches with the Monks losing to Mean Machine 34-0 while The Warriors lost to USIU 20-13.

The encounter will set the stage as the teams secure an early safety to avoid relegation. The Warriors are 6th with one point while the Monks trail the table.
