Ngong RFC and Egerrton Wasps moved to within a game of qualifying for Championship rugby next season after respective nationwide quarterfinal wins over Embu and CITAM Kisumu respectively in games played on Saturday 29 April, 2017. 

Ngong continued their fine season run with a 24-7 win over Embu RFC at the  Kibiko Grounds in Ng’ong as travelling Egerton got the better of CITAM 16-8 at the  Maseno University  v grounds.
